It's World Mental Health Day 🌍
In honor of World Mental Health Day, we wanted to share the 5 habits we find most helpful with our mental health.
Digital Detox or Phone Sabbath: Disconnecting to recalibrate and rest is essential. We suggest a weekly digital media sabbath. Instead, go for a walk. Take a nap. Practice your favorite hobby.
Boundaries with Work: When you are working be all in. When it's time to finish for the day, clock out and rest. You cannot be "on" all the time.
Hobbies: When was the last time you created space for your favorite pastime? Do you have any long-forgotten hobbies you'd like to get back into? Take this as your sign to adventure into what feeds your soul. Fun is also essential.
Therapy: Let's destigmatize therapy. Instead, set an example by going to therapy. This is leadership.
End-of-the-Month Reflection: Consider a monthly reflection. Take this time to journal or ponder about what went right this month (highlights and moments of jy) and what has been difficult. See the difficulty as an opportunity for growth. It's okay to ask for help.
What habit will you practice?
