Want a stress-free return to work?
If you've been sticking with us, so far you've evaluated your stress, learning that your stressors are messengers. You (hopefully) took a vacation to hone into the power of intentional resting, perhaps accomplishing some personal goals. Now you're returning to work after some time off.
Returning after a nice vacation can be a bit...well stressful! There's oftentimes an onslaught of to-do's, unanswered emails, meetings, etc... So we're going to help with a mostly stress-free return.
First, build in transition time. Try not to schedule meetings on your first day back. This is time for you to get yourself situated and your feet under you!
Second, make a list of all your priority items that are time-sensitive. Tackle these first.
Third, pre-plan your return. If you feel like you might be overwhelmed with your return. Perhaps take the day before your official day back to preemptively plan. Maybe going through your email, marking priority items, and creating an action list.
Ask yourself, "How can I plan for my return?"
